SEIKO Automatic Diver 7S26-0020 SKX007
Probably one of the most popular modern SEIKO diver. SEIKO SKX007 is actually a remake of the classic quartz diver 7548-7000 from the late 1970s. The differences are:
- 7S26 automatic movement on SKX007 vs. 7548 quartz movement.
- "DIVER'S 200m" inscription on SKX007 vs. "DIVER'S 150m" or "WATER 150m RESIST" on 7548-7000.
- Crown construction and position.
- Smaller bezel lume pip on SKX007.
Hello, I have been enjoying reading your posts the last two days. I too am a big Seiko fan and have owned most of the 7548/6309 models. At the moment I'm on the look out for a nice 7548-7000 for Christmas.

Hi Neil,
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for dropping the message. The 7548 is one of my favorite vintage diver. I hope you can find a nice 7548-7000 for Christmas. :)
Hi Isadikin, I was able to find both a 7548-7010 and standard 7548-7000. Now the wait begins as they travel to me in the post. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy your wonderful Seiko's.

Nice catch, Neil! The 7548-7010 is harder to find and definitely a keeper. 7548 movements are reliable workhorses that will serve you at least for the next decade. Wear in good health! :)
ReplyDeleteI own Seiko SKX007 for more than 3 years and since than didn't have any problem with it. I think all Seikos is as durable, as the one I own :)
ReplyDeleteawesome watch
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI have used this watch for about a year and love it. Recently it stopped working. I am asked to pay ±$100 for the repairing. Do you think it's worth half the price of a new one? (Problem is in the mechanism of course, the spring doesn't work properly if I understand correctly).
Thanks, all opinions would be appreciated,
Royi
